Homicide Suspect Christopher Haynes Escapes From DC Hospital, Manhunt Under Way

A homicide suspect is at large after escaping custody at GW Hospital in Washington DC, authorities said.

A search is on for Christopher Patrick Haynes, 30, who police say escaped from the hospital at the 900 block of 23rd Street NW shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for anyone who can help locate him. Police did not provide details in the crime he was originally charged with.

Haynes' escape comes amid an extensive manhunt for Danelo Cavalcante in Pennsylvania, who scaled the walls of Chester County Prison on Thursday, Aug. 31. 

Haynes was described as being 6-foot weighing approximately 205 pounds with a medium brown complexion. He has black hair and brown eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing a black T-shirt and grey shorts underneath a white body suit.
